Day One – Santiago, Guided Walking & Tapas Tour
Check in at your 4* historic hotel in the medieval heart of Santiago, at just 3 minute walk from the Cathedral. A former convent dating back to the 13th century, it’s now is a very comfortable hotel with an indoor swimming pool and spa.
Meet your local English-speaking expert guide for a first stroll through the center of Santiago, stopping at some of the best bars in town to taste tapas as dinner.

Day Two – Santiago, Food Market & Cooking Class
Start the day with a guided visit of Santiago’s main monuments, including its stunning Cathedral, and the most picturesque places such as the food market, where you will find the freshest seafood from the nearby fishing villages, as well as colorful vegetables and fruits, Galician cheeses, charcuterie…
Then, we’ll ask you to roll your sleeves up for your private cooking class, in which you will learn how to prepare flavorful Galician recipes. Enjoy what you’ve cooked for lunch paired with local wines.
After some time to rest, dinner will be at what´s probably the most prestigious restaurant in Santiago, where you will enjoy a tasting menu featuring Galicia classic dishes with a modern twist.

Day Three – Sea Life and Seafood in Ria de Arousa
Check-out for your next two days in the Rias Baixas. First stop to visit the Pazo de Rubianes: a lordly palace and amazing garden of over 4,500 camellias, it also has its own wine production that you will visit and taste.
Afterwards it’s time to enjoy a boat excursion to admire the wonderful Ria de Arousa and learn about the local fishing tradition of the incredible seafood of its waters.
Continue to the historic port village of Cambados, where you may see the “mariscadoras” (shell-fisherwomen) at their shell picking activity on the Ria during the low tide.
Check-in at your cozy boutique hotel, at just 10 minutes from Ria de Arousa, the perfect base to keep exploring this Southern part of Galicia, called Rias Baixas.
Take part in an evening cooking workshop at the hotel in which you will learn how to prepare those gorgeous seafood products seen on your boat excursion, followed by dinner.

Day Four – Albariño wine & Pontevedra medieval town
Today you’ll learn about Galician wine, right where it comes from. First visit is to a prestigious Albariño winery, where you will taste their acclaimed white wines.
Then, you’ll continue to Pontevedra, located on the edge of the Ria (estuary) of the same name: the old town extends in a network of streets and squares of great beauty. The deeply-rooted maritime tradition of Pontevedra and nearby ports has resulted in a cuisine largely based on fresh fish and seafood that you will enjoy at a selected restaurant.
Enjoy a relaxed evening back in your cozy hotel.

Day Five – Departure from Santiago or Vigo
Check-out after breakfast.
Transfer to Santiago de Compostela or Vigo airport.
